EmpoweringEFT@EU project at the 15th World Conference for Person-Centered & Experiential Psychotherapy & Counseling, at Copenhagen

On July 7th, we presented our EmpoweringEFT@EU project at the 15th World Conference for Person-Centered & Experiential Psychotherapy & Counseling, at Copenhagen.

As the discussant of the panel, Rhonda Goldman shared how the project came to life. Rhonda also gathered some general thoughts and goals about the project.

Our first presenter, Carla Cunha, shared the results of the study “Listening to the Experts”, which gathers implicit and explicit knowledge (what the books don’t tell us) from experts in EFT Supervision, like Les Greenberg, Robert Elliott, Jeane Watson, Rhonda Goldman, and many others.

Our second presenter, Robert Elliott, shared one of our Intellectual Outputs (IO2), consisting of the Competency Frameworks orienting EFT practice and clinical supervision. This competency framework departs from the insights gathered from the experts and aims to set up Advanced Training Courses for EFT Supervisors.

Our third presenter, Ladislav Timulak, shared another of our Intellectual Outputs (IO1), the Competency Frameworks for EFT training. This competency framework focuses mainly on how to develop skills to better administrate training in EFT.

Finally, our last presenter, Rafael Jodar-Anchia, closed our amazing panel with a discription of the Pilot Phase of the EmpoweringEFT@EU project, where our main goal was to disseminate EFT training and supervision in European countries where EFT is less outspread, such as in Portugal and Spain. Rafa also addressed the E-platform (IO3) that we’re creating, with the aim to support EFT training and supervision.
